Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Fights with Intensity Throughout Game with MBU

Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Soccer Team hosted Missouri Baptist University on Wednesday evening after the men's game was delayed by over two hours.  The ladies moved their game to Porter Stadium at Hannibal High School so the game could be played under the lights.  The two teams were able to get on the field by 6:30 and the Spartans got off to a quick start scoring in the third minute of the game.  The Trojans however were able to counter from a set play and evened the score in the 14th minute from 25 yards out.  In the 28th minute, HLGU dribbled the ball down the left side of the field and fired a strong high shot past the keeper to take the lead.  But MBU was able to tie the game before the halftime buzzer sounded.  The ladies scored again in the 62nd minute on a through ball as Elizabeth Scott scored her second goal of the game to tie the game at three.  The Spartans were able to put the final goal in past the keeper in the 82nd minute to close out the game.
