HLGU Drops Home Opener to Tigers

Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Basketball Team hosted Iowa Wesleyan University in their home-opener Saturday afternoon. The Tigers led the all-time series 7-14 coming into Saturday. The Trojans entered the matchup coming off a win, while the Tigers enter on a five game losing streak.

  • Michael Hood led the team in scoring finishing with 25 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

  • Grant Peters had 13 points going 6-10 from the field also tallying one assist and one rebound.

  • The Trojans took a four point lead into the half over the Tigers (34-30).

  • The Tigers came out of the break strong cutting down their deficit and taking control of the lead with 14:28 to play.
