St. Louis, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Basketball Team took on Missouri Baptist in their first conference game of the year. HLGU comes in looking to end their struggles over the last two games.

• Jillian Lockard led the team in scoring recording 13 points and adding four rebounds, and three assists.

• Ashlynn Vermeer pulled in nine rebounds and added 10 points going 5-11 from the field.

• Missouri Baptist came out strong out of the gates going on a 12-0 run in the first quarter. They would go 9-12 from the field (75%) in the first quarter.

• Three-pointer were falling for Missouri Baptist in the second quarter, they went 6-11 (54.5%). The Trojans went 1-4 (25%) from three-point range in the second quarter.

• The Spartan defense ran the show coming out of the half only allowing HLGU two points in the entire third quarter.

• The Trojans shot well in the fourth quarter shooting 8-14 (57.1%) from the field including 3-4 (75%) from behind the arc.

• HLGU lost the turnover battle committing 26 turnovers compared to the Spartan's who turned the ball over 12 times.
