Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Basketball Team hosted Missouri Valley for their home opener Saturday afternoon. After a highly competitive and tightly contested game, the Trojans came out with a 65-61 victory. The last time HLGU recorded the win over the Vikings was in December of 2018. The Trojans next game will be next Saturday, November 19 at home at 3 PM against Harris-Stowe State.

- The Trojans knocked down 48.28% of shots in the first half going 14-29 while Missouri Valley went 42.31% going 11-26.
- HLGU held a six point lead at the break (35-29).
- Three-point shots were a difference maker in the game with the Trojans hitting 10 to go 10-24 (41.7%) compared to the Vikings 6-18 (33.3%).
- Both teams took care of the ball fairly well with HLGU having 11 turnovers and MVC having eight.
