Trojans Drop Tight Game in Overtime Versus Columbia

Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Basketball Team hosted conference rival Columbia College Thursday night. In an extremely close game all the way through, a late comeback in the second half and strong performance in overtime pushed the Cougars to victory.

STAT TRACKER
  • Bryce Stark dropped 19 points tonight going 6-11 from the field including 4-7 from three-point range. He also had six rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.
  • Michael Hood recorded 15 points, three assists, and two rebounds.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
  • The first half was back and forth and saw four lead changes. With 43 seconds to go, Bryce Stark hit a three that would put the Trojans up two to end the half (20-18).
  • The second half was also extremely close and with 12 seconds to go Columbia's Chima Oduocha hit a free-throw to tie the game at 50 and send it to overtime.
  • In overtime, the Trojans could not seem to find their stride, going just 1-6 from the field thus losing the game 65-56.
  • The Cougars were able to convert on 20 of 30 free throw attempts making a huge difference in the game as HLGU was 6-10 on the night.
  • Rebounds were pretty even between the two squads with Columbia getting 35 and the Trojans getting 33.
