Canton, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Basketball Team took on Missouri Valley College in the Culver-Stockton Classic on Friday night. The Trojans had a strong start offensively but a solid three-point shooting performance by the Vikings sunk the Trojans as they fell 88-60. HLGU will continue in the Classic, Saturday night at 7 pm against Culver-Stockton College.

- Ashlyn Vermeer recorded her second double-double in as many games with 23 points and 13 rebounds, eight of those coming on the offensive side. Vermeer added three assists and a block to her line tonight.
- Taylor Flake ended the night with double digits in scoring, tallying 14 points. Flake was also credited with six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

- The Trojans started off the game strong offensively, going 7-10 (70%) from the field in the first quarter.
- MVC got hot from behind the arc in the second quarter, going 5-12 (41.7%), to build a lead.
- The Trojans trailed by 14 at the half (46-32).
- HLGU was unable to replicate their shooting performance from the first quarter in the second half as they finished the game 9-30 (30%) from the field.
- The three-point shot was a huge difference maker for the Vikings tonight, shooting 17-39 (43.6%) from deep, while the Trojans went just 2-12 (16.7%).
- HLGU allowed 18 points off their 17 turnovers while gaining three points off MVC's seven.
- The Trojans won the rebound battle tonight 45-37.
