Marion, IN – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Track & Field Team celebrated one female that qualified for the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
Kaylyn Powers competed in the Shot Put after hitting the "B" mark this past season. Three individuals, including Coach
Luke Stoffel travel to the vent hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
Powers finished 29
th in the NAIA in her event and was excited to have the experience representing HLGU. She stated, "I was excited to qualify for NAIA Nationals and had a great experience throwing with some of the best throwers in the NAIA. I hope I am able to attend again next year!"
Coach Stoffel added, "It was a great experience for Kaylyn to be at the National Championship as only a sophomore. The results may not have been exactly what we were hoping for, but she came out and competed with the best in the Nation. I am very proud of the season she had and look forward to what she will accomplish over the next two years."
