Atchison, KS - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Volleyball Team played two games on Friday as they travel to Kansas. They played at Benedictine College against the University of Science and Arts (OK) and Bethany College. HLGU lost both games but showed signs of improvement on their first day of competition.

• "For the Lady Trojan's first debut this season, the team showed amazing perseverance and effort. A lot of players have returned to their respective positions and are showing amazing strength in doing so. Special recognition to #17 Frances Knaul for an amazing day of defense. Every time I thought the play was over, she sacrificed her body for her team and proved us wrong. Truly a great DS! Our second game of the day was a big improvement from the first game that was lead in kills by #2 Ryann Blankenship. Losses are just learning experiences, no low heads here!"
