Kansas City, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Softball Team wrapped up their season with a double header on Friday. The Trojans traveled to Kansas City to take on Kansas Christian College. The Trojans slugged 12 hits, tallying seven runs in a 7-1 win in game one. Four HLGU hitters, Maggie Tollison, Andie McCool, Madison Staley, and Anita Kraus recorded multi-hit games each in the first contest. Madyson Klostermann picked up the victory, allowing one run on five hits in her five innings of work. In game two, the Trojans had a big fourth inning scoring five runs with home runs from Kelsey Pflasterer (3 R) and Maggie Tollison (1 R) to take a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the fourth. The Falcons of KCC bounced back with four runs of their own in the fourth to tie the game 5-5. The Trojans push one more run across in the sixth but ultimately fell short giving up two runs in the bottom of the 7th leading to a walk-off victory for the Falcons. The Trojans will look forward to returning to the field next spring for the 2026 season.
