St. Louis, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Volleyball Team played their sixth and seventh
games of the season, and the Lady Trojans' first match of the day was facing off against the
Columbia College Cougars. HLGU struggled with the strong block of the Cougars as they
dominated the net. It was Sophomore Lati Latu leading the charge for the Trojans, leading the
team in kills and blocks. Sophomore
Delaney Eggemeyer led the team in assists, and Freshman
Ava Rakers led the team in digs. The Second Match of the day saw the Trojans face off against the Central Baptist College Mustangs. While the score
may not have shown, the Trojans showed off fight, especially on the defensive side and kept up
with the Mustangs. The Trojans had more kills than the Mustangs, highlighted by Freshman Ava
Rakers and Sophomore Lati Latu. The duo combined for 24 digs, with Rakers racking up 13,
and Latu getting 11 digs for the Trojans. The Trojans will travel to Cottey College on Tuesday,
September 23rd to take on the Comets in an AMC matchup.
