The Trojans competed at the AMC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on April 29th in St. Louis, MO. It was a day filled with personal best and highlighted with wins in Men's Hammer Throw and the Men's 4X100m Relay.
Logan Trupiano started things off by winning the Hammer Throw by over 3m with a throw of 51.64m. That throw was enough for Logan to qualify for the NAIA National Championships. Logan was followed up by an amazing performance by our Men's 4X100m relay team (Aleks Pnkov,
Hunter Foerstel,
Cleashaun Hill,
Christon Warren.) The relay team set a school record by running a 42.85. Aleks Penkov followed up this performance with a personal best 100m dash of 11.06.
Hunter Foerstel also had a personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.33. Rounding out the personal best on the day was
Cleashaun Hill with 110m Hurdles time of 16.04. The Trojans had two 1st Team All Conference winners:
Logan Trupiano (Hammer Throw 52.64m) and
Hunter Foerstel (400m Hurdles 1:01.33.) Aleks was awarded 2nd Team All Conference (100m Dash 11.06.)
Christon Warren (400m Dash 55.02) and
Cleashaun Hill (110m Hurdles 16.04) both were awarded 3rd Team All Conference.
