Sergio Arenas is a senior member of the HLGU Men's Soccer program from Medellín, Colombia. A graduate of Colegio San José de la Salle, Sergio has combined his passion for soccer with a commitment to academic and personal growth throughout his collegiate career.

As a Media Communication major, Sergio has embraced opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, developing skills that will serve him well beyond graduation. His dedication to excellence, leadership, and service has made him a valued member of the HLGU community.

Campus Involvement

In addition to his role as a student-athlete, Sergio is actively involved on campus as a member of the NewsBeat team and serves as a Student Ambassador. These experiences have allowed him to connect with fellow students, represent the university, and further develop his communication and leadership skills.

Why Athletics?

Sergio participates in athletics because it gives him the opportunity to do what he loves while continuing to grow as a person off the field. Soccer has provided him with experiences that challenge him to improve, build meaningful relationships, and develop valuable life skills.

Athletics has played a significant role in Sergio's personal development. Through soccer, he has been surrounded by teammates and coaches who encourage him to become the best version of himself.
