About Victor
Victor Guerra joins the Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Soccer program as a freshman from Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. He plans to major in Computer Science while continuing his competitive soccer career with the Trojans.
Victor arrives at HLGU with an impressive soccer résumé that includes competing at a high level in both Brazil and Portugal. During his youth career, he reached the quarterfinals of the Paulista Cup U15 while playing for Pnte Preta's U15 squad. He later became the champion and leading scorer of the Brasileirao Cup U 16 Tournament, advanced to the semifinals of the Paulista Cup U 17, spent five months competing with Paulínia, and played one season in the Second District Division of Portugal.
His experiences competing in multiple countries have strengthened his leadership, adaptability, and competitive mindset—qualities he now brings to the HLGU Men's Soccer program.
Why do you participate in athletics?
"I participate in sports because it is something I love, especially soccer. When I am on the field, all my problems disappear in that moment."
How has participating in athletics prepared you for success?
"Sports have prepared me by teaching me focus, discipline, and especially how to deal with frustration. Those lessons have helped me become stronger both on and off the field."
