Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Basketball Team took on AMC Conference opponent Harris-Stowe State Saturday afternoon at home. The Trojans got out to a good start and finished strong but it wasn't enough to overcome the Hornets as they fell 54-51. The Trojan's next contest will be Monday against Park University in Parkville, Missouri at 5:30 PM.

• The Trojans jumped out to a quick lead, starting the game on a 6-0 run. They took a three point lead into the break at the end of the first (14-11).
• HSSU picked up the intensity in the second quarter and after HLGU struggled, Harris-Stowe took a 28-20 lead into the half.
• In the second half, the Trojans played well but it wasn't enough to erase the lead and defeat the Hornets who won by a score of 54-51.
• The difference maker in the game was free throws with HSSU going 13-23 from the line while the Trojans went 5-12.
• HLGU out-rebounded the Hornets 43-35.
