Women's Basketball Falls to Cougars in Close Battle

Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Basketball Team played the Columbia College Cougars in a Thursday evening home conference matchup. Columbia comes in looking to build off a huge win Tuesday against Stephen's College, while the Trojans look to get back on track after a loss Wednesday to Harris-Stowe.

  • Throughout the third quarter the Trojans battled through adversity and kept pace with Columbia. They went into the fourth quarter down 54-46.
  • The Trojans put together a solid comeback attempt but it just wasn't enough as they lost 65-60.
  • HLGU out-rebounded the Cougars 32-28 in the game.
  • Each team shot fairly evenly with Hannibal going 25-60 from the field (41.7%) and Columbia going 23-56 (41.1%).
