HLGU Struggles in Third Period and Fall to Eutectics

St. Louis, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Basketball Team traveled to St. Louis for the second time this week Saturday afternoon, this time to take on another conference opponent University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Trojans are looking to keep up momentum and confidence after Thursday's game against Columbia and UHSP is looking to keep up their solid season heading into the final stretch.

  • The first quarter close as the Trojans had a good good start going on a 5-0 run in the first three minutes. At the break, the Trojans we're down 20-16.
  • HLGU hung tough in the second quarter going into the half down eight points.
  • Shooting was a struggle in the third quarter for the Trojans going just 1-12 total in the quarter.
  • Hannibal kept fighting through the fourth quarter, but it was just too late as they ended up losing 75-49.
  • UHSP forced 16 turnovers from the Trojans and they were able to score 17 points off those turnovers. HLGU was able to force just five turnovers and score two points off them.
  • UHSP shot pretty well from behind the three-point line going 12-26 in the game while the Trojans went 4-14.
