Winona Lake, IN – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Basketball Team took on Alice Lloyd College in the NCCAA National Championships Wednesday in Winona Lake, Indiana. After drawing the eight seed, HLGU was set for the matchup with one seed ALC. They rose to the occasion and pulled off the upset, handing them their sixth loss of the year, and will now move on to the next round for a contest against the forth seeded Baptist Bible College.

- HLGU started off the game with a solid start going on a 10-3 run in the first three minutes of the game and strongly shifting the momentum in their favor.
- After finding themselves down three points (22-19) with 12 minutes to go in the first half, the Trojans went on a huge 18-4 run over eight minutes to put them up 37-26.
- At the break, the Trojans found themselves up 42-40.
- Seven players recorded points in the second half for HLGU and two (Michael Hood and Grant Peters) scored double digits.
- The Trojans took their biggest lead of the game at 17 points with 12 minutes to play in the game (64-47).
- HLGU put an exclamation mark on the game with three slam dunks in the last 90 seconds of play. Two by Grant Peters and one from Bryce Stark.
- Shooting was a high point for the Trojans today as they went 32-54 (59.3%) from the field and 11-19 (57.9%). They also shot 12-15 (80%) from the charity stripe.
- The Trojans were able to score 15 points off turnovers and tack on 14 second chance points.
- HLGU finished the game with three players in the double digits for scoring and seven overall scorers.

- The Trojans will face off against Bible Baptist College Missouri tomorrow in the second semifinal game of the NCCAA National Tournament. The game is scheduled to start at 5:15 PM in Indiana.
