Hannibal, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Baseball Team took the conference series from University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy over the weekend two games to one. In the first game, the Trojans could not stop the Eutectic bats, falling 22-8. In game two, HLGU got another stellar start from Cole Thompson, who went six innings, striking out six and allowing just one unearned run. The Trojans took the lead in the fourth inning off an RBI single from Cole Arndorfer and then got the ball to Deryk Carey in the seventh, who picked up another save in the 2-1 win. In game three, the Trojans were swinging hot bats, scoring 11 runs on 12 hits. The biggest of those came off the bats of Charlie Culp and Isaiah Holescher, each hitting their own two run homer in the third and fourth innings. Starting pitcher, Adam Lange, went seven innings for the Trojans, earning a win, while Deryk Carey recorded the six out save. The Trojans will travel to St. Louis to take on Fontbonne University on Tuesday, April 16, at 12 PM.
