Bolivar, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange Men's Soccer Team picked up its first win of the season against NCAA Division Two opponent, Southwest Baptist University on Saturday afternoon. Liam McAslan scored the opening goal in the 29th minute to put HLGU up 1-0. In the 31st minute, SBU gave up an own goal to make the score 2-0, and that is where the score would stay with the Trojans taking the 2-0 victory. Trojan goalkeeper, Sergio Arenas, recorded his first clean sheet of the year, with one save in the match. Next, HLGU will take on Saint Ambrose University on August 27, at 11 am, at the Hannibal High School field.
