Hannibal-LaGrange Names Coltin Morrow Head Track & Field Coach
Hannibal-LaGrange University Director of Athletics Clay Biggs has announced the removal of the interim tag for Coltin Morrow, officially naming him the Head Track & Field Coach for the Trojan program.
Morrow led the Trojans through a successful 2025-26 season highlighted by conference championships, school records, national qualification marks, and a national champion.
"Coltin has done an outstanding job leading our student-athletes and continuing to move our program forward," said Biggs. "His energy, commitment to our athletes, and passion for the sport have made a tremendous impact in a short amount of time. Just as importantly, he has fully embraced the mission of Hannibal-LaGrange University and the Biblical worldview that defines our institution. We are excited about the future of Trojan Track & Field under his leadership."
At the American Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships, the Trojans were highlighted by Logan Trupiano's conference championship and NAIA National Championship qualifying mark in the Hammer Throw. The Trojans also captured the Men's 4x100-meter relay title as Aleks Penkov, Hunter Foerstel, Cleashaun Hill, and Christon Warren set a new school record with a time of 42.85.
The Trojans continued their momentum at the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships as Trupiano claimed a national championship in the Hammer Throw with a personal-best mark of 55.13 meters.
"Logan has been working like crazy all year to get better and better," Morrow said following the national championship performance. "For him to go out and throw his personal best when it matters the most is not only a testament to his work ethic but also his mentality as a competitor."
In addition to the program's success on the track, Morrow has already secured commitments from seven student-athletes for the Fall 2026 recruiting class and continues to actively build the future of the Trojan program through recruiting efforts.
A native of Edina, Morrow hopes his regional connections and local roots will continue to help attract student-athletes from Northeast Missouri and the surrounding area to the Trojan program. Morrow graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2024 and is currently completing his master's degree in Leadership, which he is expected to finish this fall.
Under Morrow's leadership, the Trojan Track & Field program demonstrated significant growth and positioned itself for continued success moving forward.
