Women's Cross Takes Third Place at AMC Championship

St. Louis, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Cross Country Team competed in American Midwest Conference (AMC) Championships on Friday morning.  The event was hosted by the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis at Francis Park.

RACE MOMENTS

  • Two AMC teams finished ahead of the Trojans.  Missouri Baptist finished second and Columbia College won the event.
  • Lauren Sisco led the team and finished in second place and qualified for the NAIA National Championship.
  • Lauren Sisco and Elle Hudelson earn All-Conference honors.
  • McKinley Christopherson received the AMC Newcomer of the Year.
  • Madelyn Newsom earned the AMC Freshman of the Year award.

NEXT TIME OUT

  • HLGU will prepare for the NCCAA Cross Country Nationals which will take place in Point Lookout, Missouri on November 16.  Several individuals will continue to train after advancing to the NAIA Nationals which will be in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on April, 9.

  • "What a great day for HLGU Cross Country.  I am very proud of our efforts.  It has been a tough year and we battled extremely hard to be here.  So thankful to have had an opportunity to compete this season."
