Canton, MO – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Cross Country Team opened up their season as they have the last six years at the Great River Open. Originally the meet was a collaboration between Culver-Stockton College, Hannibal-LaGrange University, and Quincy University. This year with so many unknowns several new schools participated but the results were the same with HLGU winning the meet.

RACE MOMENTS
- Two American Midwest Conference (AMC) teams also ran in the competition this year. Missouri Baptist finished second with 37 points and St. Louis College of Pharmacy finished third with 50 points.
- Lauren Sisco led the Trojans in the first meet of the year and hopes to continue with another season like she had last year which led to her qualifying for the NAIA National Championship.
NEXT TIME OUT
- HLGU is planning to travel to Columbia, Missouri on September 19 to participate in the Larry Young Invitational.
