Conway, AR – The Hannibal-LaGrange University Men's Wrestling Team traveled south to Central Baptist College for their annual CBC Invite.  Nine teams competed in the event with three of the schools being from the American Midwest Conference (AMC).  HLGU finished seventh scoring 5.5 points from one wrestler.  The Tournament was won by Life University who are the defending NAIA Champions.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Luis Ortiz (285) went 2-2 on the weekend and finished fourth in his weight class.  Ortiz started the day with a pin in 47 seconds over Oliver Severance from Benedictine College.  He won his third dual by decision of 2-1 over Darron Harvey from Arkansas Baptist College

• The Trojans will travel to the Missouri Valley Invite in Marshall, Missouri on January 22.

• "We had some tough matches against tough opponents, including the #2 team in the country Life University. I thought we competed well and Luis did well finishing 4th. We are on to the Missouri Valley invite this weekend for the biggest tournament of the year so far."
